Richard R. Roller
Dear Prospective Ally,
Welcome to our Tour. From here now, or later from the MENU above, I invite you to consider our four PARTICIPATION options and/or learn about WHY US? Also, if you’ve not already done so, I think you’d enjoy watching either or both of our completed video projects that follow, which you can do from the Project Videos section in the MENU.
‘Java Time Online’s 1st Evening with Friends’ is our 60-minute pilot episode for an ongoing series of web-based variety shows that blend the experience of our ancient fireside past, when we came together to commune with and entertain each other, along with the expanding possibilities of the world-wide-web-of-us.
The series is intended as a calling card for our Company, it’s writers and our wide range of projects and, it might, also, attract sponsors with embedded advertising. With the proliferation of Zoom, and other similar platforms, the shows could become – ‘Java Time Online’s Evenings with Friends... Around the World.’
‘Between the Cracks,’ our 70-minute documentary, will take you into the world and bitter-sweet lives of a rag-tag community of ‘houseless’ people, functioning & dysfunctioning together under a bridge in the San Fernando Valley in the City of ‘Lost Angels.’
Having once been homeless myself, many years ago in Venice Beach, the Bridge People trusted me and my small production team to become a part of their world and tell their stories.
We are a hybrid entity, seeking to embody the best of for-profit and not-for-profit organizational models. If you become inspired by what follows, and would like to discuss becoming one of our Profit Sharing Patrons, an Angel Backer and/or an Active Participant, email me and we’ll arrange a time to talk.
Life is a Co-Creation!

Our Wheel of Good Fortune
Historically, the pyramid, with its top-down structure, has represented the corporate business model with the CEO/President in an overseeing and controlling position at the top of the pyramid.
Our business model is a Wheel, at the center of which is the Head Writer/CEO, initially, our founder, Richard. The spokes will connect the Head Writer with each of the primary departments such as: Administration – Tech – Research – Marketing – Public Relations – Social Media and Legal, etc.
The Wheel model makes communication more inclusive and establishes a stronger sense of fellowship among the writers and support team members.

The Modesto Messiah – A Completed Screenplay
Story by Richard Roller. Screenplay by Richard Roller & Greg Bell.
The Modesto Messiah is a biographical feature film screenplay about the Rebel Reverend Kirby J. Hensley, founder of the controversial mail-order religion, the Universal Life Church (ULC).
Since 1959, the ULC has ordained over twenty million free-thinking people, including just a few such notables as The Rebel Reverend Tom Hanks, Jimmy Kimmel, Jeff Probst, the Beetles, the Rolling Stones, Dwayne Johnson (aka ‘the Rock’), Courtney Love, Barbara Streisand, Norman Lear and even the former head of the FBI, J. Edgar Hoover.
Kirby and the ULC were condemned by the mainstream religions, the Internal Revenue Service and tax collectors as a bogus religion, and Kirby as a con man.
His battles, on behalf of himself and the ULC, go all the way up to the Supreme Court of California, where the Justices decreed: “The government cannot determine what constitutes a valid religion for, if it were to do so, it would violate the 1st Amendment, guaranteeing the separation of church and state.”
Note: At the end of this Tour, there are three links for The Modesto Messiah. One to watch a promotional video, one to read the first pages of the screenplay, and one to request a copy of the completed script. The video can also be accessed immediately through Project Videos in the MENU above.
Forbidden Marriage – A Completed Screenplay
Story by Richard Roller. Screenplay by Richard Roller & Greg Bell.

Forbidden Marriage is a fictional screenplay about Mason Andrews, a reporter with the Los Angeles Times. Mason is dealing with personal demons, failed relationships, and the struggles of a recovering alcoholic.
He reluctantly agrees to cover the trial of Lehi Brewster, a Salt Lake police officer who has lost his job and is on trial for being married to two women.
Mason is curious to find out how polygamous men manage to have successful relationships with two or more women, at the same time, when he hasn’t been able to do so with one.
In the midst of the trial, a busload of San Francisco gays, lesbians, transvestites and transgenders arrive to support marriage equality for all.
To say the least, they are not well-received; especially by the ultra-conservative, religious polygamist families who have come out to support Lehi and their right to marriage equality.
Forbidden Marriage raises the bar on the question: Who should or should not be allowed to marry?
Note: At the end of this Tour, there are three links for Forbidden Marriage. One to watch a promotional video, one to read the first pages of the screenplay, and one to request a copy of the completed script. The video can also be accessed immediately through Project Videos in the MENU above.

The Peace Pilgrim story is our screenplay for a biographical feature film about the life of Mildred Norman who became dissatisfied with her materialistic life, and deeply concerned with the discord in the world.
After much searching for a way of devoting herself to a greater good, she found her answer. On the first of January, 1953, she stepped out in front of the Rose Parade, and began a 28-year pilgrimage as ‘Peace Pilgrim.’
Without a penny in her pocket, and with endless faith, she walked over 40,000 miles throughout the North American Continent on behalf of inner peace and world peace.
Peace Pilgrim, a true spiritual warrior, touched the hearts and minds of many thousands along her journey. She often said, “Overcome Evil with Good, Falsehood with Truth, and Hatred with Love.” When asked, “What is new about that?” her answer was, “There is nothing new in the words, but what is always new is the living of them.”

Twelve Steps to Freedom
A Spiritual Social Solution for Self-Inflicted Suffering
By Richard Roller
This e-book is close to completion. It’s a primer to be sold and distributed on the web. This book could easily go viral with the millions of participants in the more than twenty-five twelve-step fellowships that have spun off from Alcoholics Anonymous.
Our founder, Richard, once weighed around 350 pounds. He has been active in Overeaters Anonymous and other twelve-step fellowships for more than 25 years, and is maintaining the loss of well over 125 pounds.
Twelve Steps to Freedom would have appeal to persons already in one or more of the twelve-step fellowships. It would also be of value to family members, or anyone interested in seeking a non-religious, spiritual/social solution for their own addictions, or to achieve a better understanding of their addicted loved ones.
Personal stories of recovered and recovering cross-addicted persons, in more than one of the twelve-step fellowships, are to be added.
Note: At the end of this Tour, there is a link to read the current draft of Twelve Steps to Freedom.
God for Non-Believers – Implications from What we Think we Know
By Richard Roller
This book in development will illustrate parallels between ancient mystic teachings and present-day scientific knowledge and speculations.
It will point out some of the implications and questions these and other largely agreed-upon truths suggest.
God for Non-Believers may be an inspiration to lead the reader from being a dogmatic religious believer, atheist or agnostic, into having an awe-filled sense of an Infinitely Universal and intimately Personal presence of Infinite Co-Creative Intelligence from where we came, where we live, and to which we return.
Looking for Will – My Bardic Quest with Shakespeare
A Completed Book
By Greg Bell
This haunted book chronicles Greg’s lifelong, poetic journey through the ghosts of the past heading toward William Shakespeare.
Author and Shakespearean actor Greg, Richard’s longtime writing partner, calls himself an “archaeologist of the invisible.” In the preface, he admits to digging up the past. Then he creates a plan.
He does so through the use of poetry, free verse, blank verse, Shakespearean sonnets and even a few excerpts from his solo play, Alms for Oblivion, in which Bell conjures up the Bard of Avon. Be prepared for paranormal phenomena!
Late Bloomers – Stories of People who Prove – It’s Never Too Late!
By Richard Roller with Gail Blair
This planned documentary is based on a poem written by Richard entitled: ‘A World Economics Survey.’ This project would take the viewer back to the time when currency replaced barter as our primary means of exchange and forward into the defunct ‘Gold Standard’ and, now, full circle into the ‘Agreement Standard.’
The film would show how money/currency/energy operates globally in the present, and how we may evolve our understanding of and use of it in the future, based on the evolution of our collective consciousness.
