STEPHEN BITTRICH
Writer

Stephen has a background in theater — playwriting and acting. For many years he wrote new plays (mostly shorts) for a small, vibrant theater company in New York City called The Drilling Company.

His plays have been performed across the globe in places like South Africa, Lebanon, Japan, India, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia (translated into Chinese) – as well as the US and Canada, of course. He's been published 9 times, including his full-length Texas farce, Home of the Great Pecan. (Photos from various productions.)

He was a "Top 30" finalist for his screenplay, Desert Rites, in the first Project Greenlight (Ben Affleck/Matt Damon contest). And a "Top 250" finalist the following year in the same contest with his horror/comedy screenplay, Tasty Morsels, (with sometime writing partner, Salvantonio Clemente). (Check out poster art and concept art 001, 002, 003, 004, created for this project.)
Currently he creates a weekly web show called “Vacation Earth” with the following conceit -- an alien named CLORG has been sent to Earth with the mission to create a travel and lifestyle show for consumption on his home planet of Gugu-Gee – though at first he doesn’t realize the show has been hacked and put up on YouTube.

On this same channel is a show called "The Conspiracy Theorists" made during the pandemic, a comedy/mystery/musical featuring a group of very colorful conspiracy theorists who gather on Zoom... until one of them is murdered!
