Peace Pilgrim

Story by Richard Roller – Screenplay by Richard Roller & Greg Bell.

This biographical feature film screenplay is the story of Mildred Norman who, dissatisfied with her materialistic life, became deeply concerned with the discord in our world.

After years of searching for a way to devote her life to serving a greater good, she finally got her answer. On January the 1st, 1953, she stepped out in front of the Rose Parade which began a 28-year pilgrimage as ‘Peace Pilgrim.’

Without a penny in her pocket, and with endless faith, she walked over 40,000 miles throughout the North American Continent on behalf of inner peace and world peace. Peace Pilgrim, a true spiritual warrior, touched the hearts and minds of many thousands along her journey.

She often said, “Overcome Evil with Good, Falsehood with Truth, and Hatred with Love.” When asked, ‘What is new about that?’ Her answer was, “There is nothing new in the words, but what is always new is the living of them.”
