DAVID ZASLOFF
Talent Coordinator/Consultant
From 1980-1982, David was the musical director of the jazz club Matzoh Momma’s, Seattle, WA. He was responsible for booking jazz, folk, pop, comedy and variety acts. He also wrote the press releases, emceed the shows and added his talents to the entertainment by playing piano, trumpet, flute, and percussion.
David was Musical Director for 14 HBO Comedy Channel Shows and one Showtime Special. As director, he wrote musical cues, hired band members and conducted the band on camera.
Currently David tours the United States and Canada performing comedy for conventions. In addition he produced and performed in fifteen Twelve Step Comedy Show fund raisers and was responsible for selecting five other comics to do 10-20 minute spots.
Music Education:
Studied trumpet for 3 years at the High School of Music & Art, New York City;
Music lessons from Jimmy Smith, trumpeter for the New York Philharmonic Orchestra
Ten years studying the Japanese shakuhachi flute with Sensei Hodo Yamaguchi.
