DAVID KEARSE
Writer
David Kearse, a former journalist (The Baltimore Sun), now writes screenplays, one of which has been optioned by a producer. He has sustained an acting career in Hollywood. Having studied with some of the greats in theater, opera, improvisation, and creativity, he brings what he has learned explicitly to his memoir, “Blessed By The Best.”
His mentors include Harold Clurman, who co-founded The Group Theater that led to The Actors Studio; Frank Corsaro, Broadway, and opera director who became head of The Actors Studio; and Alan Arkin, co-founder of Chicago’s Second City troupe and an Oscar winner. Norman Seef, profiled on CBS’ “Sixty Minutes,” continues to videograph talent today to study their creativity.
